One aspect of working with a touring vocal group that happens a lot is doing radio, newspaper and television interviews. At times, when doing interviews, we get asked some thought provoking questions. I thought I would answer one question that comes up a lot during interviews.
What do you enjoy most about being a member of Five By Design?
I do not want to sugar coat the truth, there are times when being a member of Five By Design can be challenging. However, despite the challenges I really love working with these people. Having the chance to create shows, from original concept to the script writing, song selection, costuming, and vocal arranging, is what really drives me. All the work we put in culminates during the first performance of a show when we get to perform the music and feel the energy of an audience experiencing the results of our work first hand. It just doesn't get much better than that. I feel very blessed to have a supportive wife and the opportunity to do something that excites and challenges me every day. The fact I get to do it with an exceptionally talented team of people who share my passion make the difficult times worth facing.
