There's no place like home!

We're coming to the end of a long stretch of being on the road and Kurt and I are looking forward to getting home and living in our own home for a bit.  Since heading out for our New Year's gig in Duluth, MN on Dec 29th, I have been home for a total of 4 days and Kurt for a total of 2 days!  It's been a busy 2 months full of many shows and lots of traveling.  For the most part, everything has gone very well.  Our biggest challenge has been the weather, and I suppose, what can you expect for Jan and Feb.  Luckily, we were able to make it to all of our shows.  Unfortuately, for a few of the shows,  much of the audience was not.  Those that did make it sure were enthusiastic, though.  We definitely appreciated them braving the elements to come see us.  It looks like the weather is going to cooperate with us and allow us to get home without too much trouble.  The van will attempt to make it home in one very long travel day while Kurt and I ,in the truck, will take 2 days.  We're all looking forward to sleeping in our own beds.  In the words of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz... "there's no place like home".
